YAMAHA Vocaloid 2 Hatsune Miku

After Okkusenman delivered an unforgettable assault of kickass music followed by a plethora of remixes and renditions, Japan has once again delivered superior content that rocked my audio senses to the brink of ecstasy.

I first came to know of this growing phenomenon when I visited Moe Idolatry where I stumbled upon this post. From this point and beyond is left to my peculiar sense of curiosity, bloodthirsty keyword hunting, mastery of Google-fu and Youtube no Juutsu combined together with my hunger for information to find all I can about Vocaloid.

VOCALOID is a Singing Synthesizer technology and application software developed by the Yamaha Corporation that enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody. Yamaha announced its development in 2003 and in January 2004 the first application software product was launched. It was not released as a Yamaha product, but a software package of Vocaloid Singer Libraries developed by third party licensees which included Yamaha’s Vocaloid software.
