The DYNAM-IZER is a unique zone-based compressor from Roger Nichols Digital, a company founded by producer, recording-engineer, and 7-time Grammy winner Roger Nichols, whose resume includes producer and engineer for the critically acclaimed group, Steely Dan as well as artists ranging from Joe Cocker, Al DiMeola, and Bela Fleck to Al Jarreau, Mark Knopfler, and Frank Sinatra. A former nuclear engineer-turned recording engineer, Nichols vast technical knowledge includes development of one of the first commercially available sampling drum machines, consulting with Yamaha on the development of automation for the 02R digital console, and while digital recorders were still only 16-bit, Roger designed a 24-bit splitter device (Paq Rat) for Rane. And once youve got that nailed, get busy with the three available filters (7 filter types to choose from) to tweak your key audio to meet your needs.
